Thrilled to be working with Judy Weinberg from Temple Beth Shalom
I just got word from Judy Weinberg who is the social action co-chair at Temple Beth Shalom in Needham that they will be sewing quilts for Wrap Them in Roses on their day of service titled Tikkun Olam Day. Tikkun Olam, as translated from the Hebrew, 'Repair the World Day' is a day where members of the Temple engage in different types of community service projects to support literacy, homelessness and hunger. It all sounds really exciting and she has been involved in years past. Last year a hearty group of young and veteran sewers made 22 'lap buddies' for preschoolers in special education programs. This year Tikkun Olam is celebrated on April 6, 2014 and as she said it, she believes that the 'Zoe Rose project lends itself well to the spirit of our special day of service'. Thank you again Judy for reaching out, we are really excited to be involved in Tikkun Olam :)
