Material Girls Quilting Guild Sewing Event

The Material Girls event took place last Saturday up in Leominster (pronounced Lemonstir, I learned) and it was fantastic. Over 20 sewers attended the FULL DAY affair, they all brought a potluck lunch for between the morning and afternoon work sessions. They rented out a great work space in the New Life Church and they went into production! It was serious business, they had kits all ready, the sewing station, the cutting station, the ironing station all very organized. I was so impressed with both the thought and organization that went into the event as well as the attitude and kindness of the volunteers. I cannot thank this group enough for spending an entire day making Wrap Them in Roses quilts. And a special, special thanks to Mary Jane Handy for making the whole thing happen. I am looking forward to hearing what the final tally was. Thank you again Material Girls Quilters!
