Wyndale Quilters in Mississippi

Here are some great pictures of the Wyndale Quilters in Mississippi holding up some of the quilts they made. Thank you for donating the fabric as well. I just received a request for 50 more labels from Rita who is spearheading this initiative. I can't even count the number of quilts they have made. Several hundred at this point. Thanks to Carolyn Spears for the beautiful baby quilts she donated to Zoe Rose Foundation and also to the ladies who finished the last 30 blankets. Thank you Material Girls and Wyndale Quilters - two powerhouses!

I just want to reiterate how amazing our quilters are! Today, I want to again sing the praises of The Material Girls Guild in Leominster, MA who through the coordination and tireless efforts of the lovely Mary Jane Handy have already completed 80 quilts and are on their way to 250 by June. We have been invited to their Guild's banquet to celebrate the completion of this initiative. This is so exciting. You guys are truly incredible; the fact that you are so willing to help out and that you've doubled the number of quilts that you produced last year and then some! We can't thank you enough. Speaking of tireless efforts, Rita Norton from the Wyndale Quilters in Terry, MS in on ROUND THREE of making quilts. First, it was 20, then it was 40, and this last request is for 60 kits. Thank you, thank you, thank you Rita and your group for dedicating so much time to this initiative. Not only are you all so generous, but you are FAST sewers. We are so grateful for your help and we really enjoy working with you. I'll be at JoAnn Fabrics later this week with my coupons and the weekly flyer to get the fabric for your kits. SO EXCITING! Again, thank you everyone.

Thank you to Rita Norton and the Wynndale Quilters!

Exciting news from the Wynndale quilting group in Terry, MS. Yesterday, they got together a Wynndale Baptist Church and put together 20 quilts.  Lightning fast! We are so grateful for the kindness of this group to rally to help us meet our initative to make 250 quilts by the Spring. Not only did they complete 20 quilts but they have requested two more boxes of 20 in each.  Many will be working on these at home as well as working in groups at the quilting meeting. Below are some pictures of these kind ladies working away. Thank you Wynndale Quilters!

Keira also just heard from the Blair Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson, MS. They are interested in us supplying their unit with quilts for all babies weighing under 1500 grams or 3 pounds.  Keira is discussing a lot of support options with them and we have a goal to deliver 250 quilts over the next several months. So, we need your help to help achieve this goal of delivering the 250 quilts. I will be reaching out to various quilting groups to see if you can participate. If you are reading this and are interested, please get in touch and I will rally quickly to deliver to you as many kits as you can take. We are really eager to provide this NICU with the quilts for these tiny babies. Thanks again volunteers, let's make this happen!

Thank you to Mary Jane Handy and her daughter Concetta who are back in action making quilts. I just found out that they have 18 complete and 18 more coming in February! Thanks to these amazing quilt makers who have volunteered their time to put together such a large batch. Each quilt is treasured by the families who receive them - a small gift they are given while going through a challenging time.
